Vision Zero LA Outreach and Action Plan
The City of Los Angeles will have zero traffic deaths by 2025. That’s a bold statement and it requires a strong, implementable plan. We worked with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to develop the 2016 Vision Zero Action Plan, a two-year blueprint for City staff and the community. It defines a series of strategies and actions that achieve the Mayor’s Executive Directive of reducing pedestrian and bicycle traffic fatalities by 20% by 2017 and entirely eliminating them by 2025. The Plan was developed by analyzing collision data, best practices and Vision Zero efforts in other cities, and talking with stakeholder throughout the City—with a special focus on high priority areas where children, and seniors who walk and ride bikes are at the greatest risk.
