Towncenter Community Park
Strikers and strikes are both at home in this 35-acre softball/soccer complex. It offers the highest quality softball and indoor soccer facilities, a revenue-generating four station batting cage, and a 7,500 square foot sports restaurant/administrative office building. The three tournament-quality softball/baseball fields have large, 300-foot outfields, electronic scoreboards, stadium-style spectator seating, pro-style dugouts and synthetic turf outfields. Two indoor-sized open air soccer arenas with baseboards have synthetic turf, electronic scoreboards and ample spectator seating for this increasingly popular sport.
And there’s plenty more for families to enjoy, including a 15-acre field area with more soccer fields, and a 15-acre greensward with a walking trail along the creek, tot lot, group picnic facilities and band shell/stage. Stormwater is sent through filtration systems and bioswales before entering the creek.
The beautiful complex attracts thousands of players every month and is now generating revenue for the City.
The park was honored with a California Park and Recreation Society Award of Excellence and as Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association, San Diego.
