Forge at Geneva Form-Based Code
The Town of Vineyard has a colorful steel manufacturing history. With spectacular views of the Wasatch Mountains and easy multi-modal access to I-15 and the future FrontRunner Station, the Forge at Geneva will help create a vibrant, mixed-use transit-oriented center that connects to Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University.
We led a multi-disciplinary team of architects, planners and engineers to create a flexible form-based code that provides a clear set of standards for a wide variety of building types. The code’s built-in flexibility helps planned and future buildings address the changing market realities of new development, while ensuring that the community maintains a distinct sense of place as new buildings, streetscapes and open spaces are created. We also developed the streetscape standards, as well as the park and open space elements. The master planning process included interactive 3-D modeling design sessions and workshops with the local community.
