Coyote Point Eastern Promenade Plan
The Eastern Promenade Project, part of the Coyote Point Recreation Area, has improved and expanded San Mateo’s only publicly accessible beach and updated adjacent facilities to activate and accommodate an anticipated increase in beach goers. We designed and developed construction documents for a new Eastern Promenade trail, with a new beach and seawall, restoration of sand dunes, a new parking area and a new restroom building, as well as landscaping, native habitat plantings, fencing and irrigation. We provided biological surveys, CEQA compliance, permit management, restoration design and interpretive trail signage. We also helped find grant opportunities to construct the improvements, such as from the California State Coastal Conservancy and California Natural Resources Agency.
