Coeur d’Alene Education Corridor Master Plan

A new Master Plan for a 15.5-acre Coeur d’Alene Education Corridor breaks traditional campus boundaries, creating a uniquely collaborative campus. It includes North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College and the University of Idaho, Coeur d’Alene, as well as extension programs of Boise State University and Idaho State University. The Education Corridor is on the east bank of the Spokane River, about half a mile north of downtown Coeur d’Alene. The Master Plan, based on intense planning and design charrettes, includes plan views, elevations and perspectives of key development projects, right-of-way improvements, and new open space.

A lumber mill that had operated on the southwest area of the site until early 2008 is now owned by Lake City Development Corporation, which has created significant opportunities for the further development of the Education Corridor. And the City’s wastewater treatment facility is fully integrated as an educational asset. Project partners include ECONorthwest and Robert Peccia and Associates.
