City of Woodinville Art Integration Plan
A City known for its wine, tourism, and recreation opportunities (there are over 100 tasting rooms for wine, beer and spirits!) deserves a main street that beckons visitors and contributes to the city’s sense of identity and place. A new streetscape and art guidelines now elevate the cultural and visual charm of NE 175th Street, the city’s central thoroughfare.
Initially, MIG crafted streetscape design guidelines for this pivotal street, enhancing both its appearance and functionality to create a welcoming public space. The next step was developing Art Integration Guidelines that specify the design criteria and financial commitments for private developers to incorporate public art into their private projects.
This double effort ensured a uniform and harmonious design along the street, creating a more vibrant and appealing streetscape that reflects the city’s culture and character.
In 2023, the City of Woodinville officially adopted the Art Integration Guidelines.
