The Burden Museum and Gardens offer discovery and adventure through historic, natural and educational experiences—an expansive collection of specialty gardens, woodlands, wetlands and arboreta. With a new botanic garden, and expansion of the Arboretum, gardens, Rural Life Museum and numerous research fields, and it’s now also a world-class agronomic research station. Highlighting Louisiana’s horticultural and agricultural history, from the early days of settlement up to the present, it showcases agricultural practices, scientific research and education.
