Metro Line TOD
Linking Culture and Market Needs
The Boyle Heights neighborhood of East Los Angeles is rich in the culture and history of the Latino community. The Metro Gold Line light rail extension links this area to the downtown and other lines, and offered an opportunity to concentrate development around new transit stations, supporting the community’s need for housing, access and amenities. The TOD plan includes community visions for four new stations, an urban design plan, LEED-ND guidelines and a market needs plan to guide improvements in a half-mile radius around each new station.
