First 5 SF Strategic Plan

First Five Forward

California voters recognized the importance of health and education in a child’s first five years of life when they passed a measure to use a tax on cigarettes to fund First 5 California programs.

First 5 San Francisco needed an organizational strategy for the future. Its 2016-2021 Strategic Plan now reflects changing fiscal conditions, outlines futures roles for the organization and prioritizes specific goals and strategies in its four impact areas: Systems Change, Early Care and Education, Family Support and Child Health. First 5 SF now has a plan for expanding its reach and influence and collaborating on a coordinated change in systems of care in the City. Recent Implementation Retreats ensure the plan is off the shelf and working on the ground.
