We are pleased to provide on-the-job training opportunities and are a seeking to fill multiple, part-time internship/trainee positions in the fields of Communications, Graphic Design, and/or Social Media/Marketing/Advertising. This is a paid internship that provides on-the-job training on various projects. Candidates may either be local to the Berkeley/Oakland or San Diego area and could work from those MIG offices, or work can be performed remotely from any state in which MIG operations (CA, TX, CO, WA, OR, NY).
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule depending on candidate availability, project deadlines, and available work. Considerations will be made to accommodate parental, other work, or academic schedules. Please note that completing an internship is not a guarantee of full-time offer in the future. MIG will support any student that wishes to receive academic credit for this internship. MIG will provide any equipment (e.g. computer and software) required to perform job duties. The pay range for this position is $20-24/hour depending on location, skills and experience.
Collaborative Teammate: The MIG internship program will offer learning opportunities and exposure to our multidisciplinary communications and media team—our in-house full-service ad agency. You will work as part of a cross-office, cross-discipline team that provides communications strategies and marketing campaigns for public sector and corporate clients.
Meaningful Project Work: You will gain experience working with a team of communication and graphic design professionals in aspects of social and behavior change marketing including campaign strategy development, audience identification, messaging and content development, campaign launch coordination, out-of-home media planning and coordination, digital marketing strategy and media planning, social media strategy and content development, and community outreach planning. Your work will help to increase awareness and build support for programs and initiatives that advance the public good—including traffic safety through the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s Vision Zero SF program.
