Arctic Interagency Visitor Center Design
Prepare to Hike
If you’re heading up for a backpacking, trip in the Arctic, you really want to be prepared. The remote visitor center on the Dalton Highway helps travelers make their journey safely and with respect for the environment. It was a unique opportunity for the interpretive plan to guide the design of both the building and the site. Visitors can have one-on-one time with staff, explore the exhibits, walk the nearby nature trails, sit down and quietly study their journey and take in an evening program to learn more about the landscapes and history of the Far North.
